Governor Scott Walker received endorsements from the Milwaukee Police Association and the Milwaukee Professional Firefighters Association today

Madison, Wis. – Governor Scott Walker received endorsements from the Milwaukee Police Association and the Milwaukee Professional Firefighters Association today in the upcoming recall election.

“Governor Walker has a strong record of supporting public safety with an unwavering commitment to first responders,” said Michael Crivello, president of the Milwaukee Police Association. “Today, we are proud to announce our support for Governor Walker’s reelection.”

Dave Seager, president of the Milwaukee Professional Firefighters Association also proudly expressed support for Governor Walker saying, “Throughout his service in the State Assembly, as Milwaukee County executive, and now as governor, Governor Walker has always supported public safety and protected the needs of first responders.

There is no greater advocate for public safety than Governor Walker.”

Responding to the endorsement, Governor Walker reinforced his commitment to Milwaukee’s first responders:

“I am honored to have the endorsement of courageous men and women who put their lives on the line every single day to protect the citizens of Milwaukee. I will continue to support the needs of not just these selfless individuals, but first responders all across the state in every way to ensure a safer Wisconsin for all citizens.”

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – It has been one week since the Governor’s appointment of State Attorney Angela Corey, of the Fourth Judicial Circuit. Her team of prosecutors and investigators are diligently working to investigate the shooting death of Trayvon Martin.

In the last couple of days, numerous media outlets have reported a variety of information from a variety of sources. Some of that information is protected by Florida’s public records laws, sections F.S.119.071(2)(c)1* and 119.011(3).

At this time, we are asserting an active criminal investigative information records exemption for any documents, videos, or factual information regarding the case.

We appreciate both your interest in the case and the public’s desire to know more details. However, in order to protect the integrity of the case, there will be no further comment at this time. This also includes the confirmation or clarification of information. If anything needs to be disseminated, you will receive an alert via email.

For the sake of all involved, please allow us to do our job within the bounds of Florida law.
