Linn County Oregon Sheriff Tim Mueller puts the Obama administration on notice that he will not enforce unconstitutional gun confiscation programs.
“Any federal regulation enacted by Congress or by executive order of the president offending the constitutional rights of my citizens shall not be enforced by me or by my deputies,” ... “Nor will I permit the enforcement of any unconstitutional regulations or orders by federal officers within the borders of Linn County, OR.” - Sheriff Tim Mueller
On June 1, 2005 Tim Mueller was sworn in as the 38th Linn County Sheriff, replacing Sheriff Dave Burright who assumed the executive director`s position with the Oregon State Sheriff`s Association.
In May 2006, in a three-way race, Sheriff Mueller was elected Sheriff in his own right when Linn County voters gave him 77 percent of the votes. In 2010, he ran unopposed and was re-elected. He is currently serving his second term.
