President George W. Bush today announced the appointment of Michele A. Davis as Deputy Assistant to the President and Deputy National Security Advisor for Strategic Communications and Global Outreach.
Previously, Ms. Davis was Senior Vice President for Regulatory Policy at Fannie Mae. In 2001 and 2002, Ms. Davis was Assistant Secretary (Public Affairs) at the Department of the Treasury. Prior to working for the Treasury Department, Ms. Davis worked as Press Secretary and Communications Director for House Majority Leader Dick Armey.
Ms. Davis received her bachelor's degree from Georgetown University and a master's degree in economics from American University.
