President George W. Bush today announced his intention to nominate two individuals and appoint two individuals to serve in his Administration:
The President intends to nominate Charles R. Christopherson, Jr., of Texas, to be Chief Financial Officer at the Department of Agriculture. Mr. Christopherson currently serves as President for CB Solutions LLC. Prior to that, he was Corporate Vice President of Operations and Finance at South Central Business Group, Encompass Services Corporation. He received his bachelor's degree from Brigham Young University and his master's degree from the University of Oregon.
The President intends to nominate Edward F. Sproat III, of Pennsylvania, to be Director of the Office of Civilian Radioactive Waste Management at the Department of Energy. Mr. Sproat currently serves as Managing Partner for McNeil, Sproat & Associates LLC. Prior to that, he assumed the position of Chief Operating Officer for Pebble Bed Modular Reactor, Ltd. in the Republic of South Africa. Earlier in his career, Mr. Sproat was Vice President of International Projects for Exelon Generation LLC. He received his bachelor's and master's degrees from the University of Pennsylvania.
The President intends to appoint Rebecca Contreras, of Texas, to be a Member of the Board of Visitors to the United States Military Academy.
The President intends to appoint Edmund D. Pellegrino, of New York, to be a Member of the President's Council on Bioethics. Upon appointment, the President intends to designate him Chairperson.
