Freshman Congressman Parker Griffith (D-AL) announced he is switching parties from Democrat to Republican. Representative Griffith cited health care legislation, the economic stimulus package and other measures where he differs with the House Democratic leadership.
He says that he can no longer support the liberal agenda of the Democrats and better identifies with the values of the Republican party. He also comments on the health care 'reform' bill, stating is strongly opposes this legislation.
