Mitt Romney’s Free and Strong America PAC announced 38 additional endorsements of state and federal candidates running in IowaToday, Mitt Romney’s Free and Strong America PAC announced 38 additional endorsements of state and federal candidates running in Iowa and committed a total of $41,500 to their individual campaign committees. These endorsements follow the PAC’s earlier endorsement of Terry Branstad’s gubernatorial campaign. Among the endorsed candidates are:
Senator Chuck Grassley: Senator Chuck Grassley currently serves the people of Iowa in the U.S. Senate and is running for reelection. For more information about him and his campaign, visit www.grassleyforsenate.com

Congressman Steve King: Congressman Steve King currently represents Iowa’s 5th Congressional District and is running for reelection. For more information about him and his campaign, visit www.kingforcongress.com

Congressman Tom Latham: Congressman Tom Latham currently represents the 4th Congressional District of Iowa and is running for reelection. For more information about him and his campaign, visit www.tomlatham.com.

Mariannette Miller-Meeks: Mariannette Miller-Meeks, a doctor, former small business owner, and retired Army Lt. Colonel, is now running to represent the 2nd Congressional District of Iowa. For more information about her and her campaign, visit www.millermeeks.com

State Senator Brad Zaun: Brad Zaun currently serves the people of Iowa in the State Senate and is now running to represent the 3rd Congressional District of Iowa. For more information about him and his campaign, visit www.bradzaun.com.

Matt Schultz: Matt Schultz, an attorney and City Councilman in Council Bluffs, is now running to serve as Iowa’s Secretary of State. For more information about him and his campaign, visit www.votemattschultz.com

The PAC also announced that it is sending $2,500 each to the Congressional campaigns of King, Latham, Lange, and Miller-Meeks, $1,000 to Findley’s Attorney General campaign, $2,000 to Jamison’s State Treasurer campaign, and $2,000 to Schultz’s Secretary of State campaign. The PAC has previously contributed $5,000 to Grassley’s U.S. Senate campaign and $2,500 to Zaun’s Congressional campaign.

The PAC also announced the endorsements of, and contributions to, the following Iowa State Senate and State House candidates:

“The people of Iowa are fortunate to have so many good Republican candidates running for office who will fight against the culture of higher taxes, higher spending, and higher debt, and work to get our economy back on track. By electing candidates like these, we will finally get people back to work and turn our troubled economy around,” said Romney.

These endorsements are another in a series of state rollouts of the PAC’s 2010 endorsements, which are aimed at electing conservative candidates who will work to lower taxes and spending, restore commonsense principles to healthcare and get our economy moving again. As part of this program, Romney’s PAC also has announced endorsements in Ohio, Missouri, California, Pennsylvania, Hawaii, Nevada, Illinois, Georgia, Texas, Indiana, Idaho, New Mexico, Virginia, Florida, North Dakota, South Carolina, Utah, Maine, South Dakota, New Jersey, North Carolina, Wyoming, Colorado, Michigan, Oklahoma, Oregon, Montana, Nebraska, Delaware, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, New York, Kansas, West Virginia, Maryland, Tennessee, and Alabama.
