State Rep. Elizabeth Coulson, Republican candidate for Illinois’ 10th Congressional District, continues to build momentum heading into the final days of the campaign, with a massive outpouring of support from individual donors and volunteers alike.

With just four days remaining in the Republican Primary, Coulson and her strong grassroots network have been able to canvass more than 150 precincts in the 10th District and phone call thousands of voters, personally touching more than 35,000 of the district’s likely Republican voters, not to mention mass communications and broad based voter contact efforts.

“It’s absolutely humbling to see the campaign headquarters packed with volunteers coming and going, doing whatever they can to spread our message of honest, responsive, fiscally conservative representation,” Coulson said.
Joining Coulson’s volunteers were dozens of Republican leaders, from township precinct committeemen to mayors, state representatives and senators to governors and congressmen. Each elected leader in the 10th District tapped into their support network, sending out letters in support of Coulson and making personal phone calls.

On top of the volunteer efforts, more than 1,000 individuals have donated to Coulson’s campaign. These financial contributions helped the campaign go on the air with both radio and television advertising, as well as become the first campaign in the GOP primary to send out literature.

“We set a goal to run a positive, issues-oriented, grassroots campaign,” she said. “I’m proud of what we have done in such a short time and that we were able to exceed all of our goals.”

The campaign finishes with an election night celebration Tuesday night (7PM) at Hackney’s on Lake, 1514 E. Lake Ave, in Glenview.
