But we also have to take responsibility for the possible consequences of what we say. And we shouldn't demonize the government or its public employees or its elected officials. We can disagree with them. We can harshly criticize them.

But when we turn them into an object of demonization, you know, you -- you increase the number of threats.

But I worry about these threats against the president and the Congress. And I worry about more careless language even against -- some of which we've seen against the Republican governor in New Jersey, Governor Christie. ###

“This week, Americans from coast to coast sent their tax payments to Washington. Your government continues to spend more and more, and that means your taxes are more and more. This has to stop – and you can help stop it.

“The challenges and situations faced by families, small business people, and young workers have no doubt made this tax day particularly painful. But as painful as it was, the truth is that the actions taken by Speaker Nancy Pelosi, Majority Leader Harry Reid and the Obama Administration are going to make the ‘tax days’ of the future much much worse.

“President Obama has signed 25 tax increases passed by the Democratically controlled Congress into law that will cost families and small business people more than $670 billion over the next 10 years. Many of these break the President’s campaign promise not to raise taxes on families making less than $250,000 a year. In the House, Speaker Pelosi and her majority have passed legislation that would result in more than a trillion – that’s with a T – dollars in net tax increases.

“But tax increases are the symptom. Runaway spending is Washington’s disease.

“The Democrats control every lever of power in Washington and they’ve never met a tax they didn’t like or found a dollar they couldn’t spend. Their economic plan? You pay, they spend, your children owe. You deserve better.

“Speaking of your children, the deficits left in the wake of President Obama's agenda now stand at $1.5 trillion and will add $11 trillion to our national debt over the next 10 years. One non-partisan study reveals that to keep up with this spending, the government would have to find about half a trillion dollars each year in new revenue. That means that the tax rates on families earning slightly more than $200,000 would skyrocket to well over 70 percent.

“That’s right, 70 PERCENT!

“Democrats have already made clear that more tax increases on income, capital gains and dividends are on the way. Some, including the President himself, refer to this as letting the “Bush tax cuts” expire. But no matter how he spins it, it means you’ll be paying more and more. At the end of this year, Americans will face the ‘Obama tax increase,’ and it will be the largest in history. As if that wasn’t enough, others, including Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Obama Economic Advisor Paul Volcker support a European-style value-added tax (VAT).

“Higher taxes, reckless deficits, unsustainable debt and a bleak future for our kids and grandkids. We must not leave our children a country more in debt and worse off than we found it. It is our moral obligation to act now to put a stop to this.

“America is at a critical point of decision making. We are a nation at a crossroads. It is up to each of us to determine what kind of country we want to be.

“Down one path is the Democrats’ a trillion dollar health care overhaul, a stimulus law that failed to meet expectations for job creation, the taxpayer funded bailouts of private companies, and a cap-and-trade policy that will impose a massive energy tax upon all Americans. All are costly policies that seize more control over the economy and of our lives. The goal? To remake America in the image of Europe.

“But take hope. Down the other path is responsible, adult leadership, focused firmly on job creation and economic opportunity. We believe in a Congress that will once again listen to the people and return America to the country they know and love. We believe in a limited but effective government that provides a safety net for those who need it most, but sets no limits on opportunity or achievement. We believe that it’s not enough just to talk about ending government waste. You have to take action so that we can begin to erase our deficits and free our children from our debt. And rather than putting the squeeze on our nation’s job creators and entrepreneurs, we believe in a pro-growth strategy to create jobs and empower the American entrepreneur and small business people to thrive.

Boehner Statement on SEC Charges Against Goldman Sachs, President Obama’s Top Wall Street Ally

GOP Leader: “Despite President Obama’s rhetoric, his permanent bailout bill gives Goldman Sachs and other big Wall Street banks a permanent, taxpayer-funded safety net by designating them ‘too big to fail.’

House Republican Leader John Boehner (R-OH) issued the following statement after the U.S. Securities & Exchanges Commission (SEC) announced it was charging Wall Street giant Goldman Sachs – which has been supportive of President Obama’s bill to create a permanent bailout fund – with defrauding investors:

“These are very serious charges against a key supporter of President Obama’s bill to create a permanent Wall Street bailout fund. Despite President Obama’s rhetoric, his permanent bailout bill gives Goldman Sachs and other big Wall Street banks a permanent, taxpayer-funded safety net by designating them ‘too big to fail.’ Just whose side is President Obama on?

Day of Prayer Not Unconstitutional

Washington, Apr 16 - Republican Study Committee Chairman Tom Price (R-GA) issued the following statement in response to a federal judge’s decision finding the National Day of Prayer unconstitutional.

Mike Pence Denounces Judge’s “National Day of Prayer” Ruling

U.S. Congressman Mike Pence, Chairman of the House Republican Conference, issued the following statement today following a federal judge’s ruling in Wisconsin that the National Day of Prayer is unconstitutional:

It’s a sad day when a lone federal judge issues oppressive restrictions on free speech and acts to banish this important day from our national calendar. This ruling ignores established legal precedent and underscores just how important it is that the next nominee to the U.S. Supreme Court has a commitment to a strict interpretation of the Constitution.

The National Day of Prayer is an annual recognition of the fact that prayer played a vital role in our nation’s founding and that the American people should continue to pray for our nation, its leaders and its people. It is an example of our Constitution’s protection of religious expression, and I call on the Department of Justice to immediately appeal this flawed ruling.

Griffin’s first quarter fundraising pushes the total raised since the start of his campaign to $575,527.99.

Conservative Rick Scott Wants to Take Florida in a New Direction VIDEO

NAPLES, FLORIDA --- Political outsider and conservative businessman Rick Scott
shook up the Florida political establishment today when he declared his candidacy for
governor. In the face of record-high unemployment, 40% of all Florida mortgages being

While we've been campaigning, Washington has still been working -- but not for us. Last year, a dangerous piece of legislation was passed by our House of Representatives -- the Food Safety Enhancement Act of 2009. Despite the reassuring title, this Orwellian legislation will weaken local food producers and suppliers and make us even more dependent on an increasingly brittle and centralized food system. Our 24 year incumbent David Price voted for his lobbyist masters, and against the interests of his constituents, by helping to pass this legislation.

Our last chance to fight this assault on our freedom to feed ourselves and increase our local food security is to head off the Senate's dangerous companion legislation, The Food Safety Modernization Act (S. 510).

Regardless of where you live, please call or write your Senators today. Let them know in no uncertain terms that this legislation must not be passed.

The CFSA does an excellent job at relating the problems with this legislation -- it was written to serve the interests of industrial agriculture, and creates onerous regulatory burdens that will put smaller local/regional producers out of business and prevent new producers from contributing to our local foodsheds.

While the CFSA asks for this legislation to be amended, I believe it must simply be stopped. We must defeat S. 510, and prevent this misguided effort to further consolidate control in the hands of the largest producers.

As your Congressman, I will work to enact agricultural reforms to empower local producers and local foodsheds by restoring a free market economy for our food.

That means ending all agricultural subsidies, ending all taxation on the production of food, and permanently eliminating the estate tax/death tax -- all of which work against the interests of our local farmers and food producers.

A free market for the production of good nutrition will empower us to do a much better job of feeding ourselves, and make a meaningful impact on our health care crisis. As Moses would have said, "Let my people grow!"

George LeMieux Efforts to stop NASA from Canceling Constellation

WASHINGTON - U.S. Senator George LeMieux (R-FL) has launched an effort to prohibit NASA from terminating the Constellation Program, which is the follow on space program replacing the space shuttle. The amendment to the FAA Reauthorization bill introduced by LeMieux reiterates federal law prohibiting NASA from using funds in FY2010 to cancel Constellation contracts. Joining LeMieux in the effort are senators Roger Wicker (R-MS), Richard Shelby (R-AL), Jeff Sessions (R-AL), Orrin Hatch (R-UT), Thad Cochran (R-MS) and Bob Bennett (R-UT).

"NASA is ignoring the will of Congress by taking steps to terminate the Constellation program. This effort sends the clear message that there are no loopholes, exclusions, or other routes the agency can use to kill the program," said LeMieux. "The ultimate determination on the future of the space program rests with Congress, not a budget proposal submitted by the administration."

"The president's proposal to cut funding for the Constellation program would reverse nearly 50 years of U.S. space policy and would effectively end the United State's leadership role in space. His plan cannot be justified as a cost-saving measure, as some have suggested, because it simply transfers spending to other programs rather than cut spending overall," said Senator Sessions (R-AL). "A policy change of this magnitude-determining the future of U.S. manned space flight-should rest with Congress, and not be decided based solely on a budget proposal. This important amendment would block the president's effort to kill Constellation, and would clarify that NASA cannot end the program without Congress, which is accountable to the voters, affirmatively making that decision."

"It is disappointing that Congress must remind NASA to follow the requirements that I included in last year's consolidated appropriations bill, which was passed by Congress and signed into law by President Obama," said Senator Shelby (R-AL). "Changes cannot be made to the Constellation program without enacting a new law. I expect NASA to execute the plan accordingly."

Without Constellation, the United States will be reliant on Russia for any manned space missions. The amendment would also waive Anti-deficiency Act provisions cited by the Administrator as justification for setting aside funding and stalling additional work on Constellation. It also requires a study to review the contracts and prohibits any efforts to cancel contracts necessary for the support of the remaining shuttle flights. ###

The latest report shows that unemployment has stubbornly stayed at just below 10 percent. Nearly four million workers have lost their jobs since President Obama took office.

The American people have been telling Washington that promoting job growth must be the first priority. But, for more than a year, Congress and the President have focused instead on a controversial health spending bill which a majority of Americans said they didn’t want.

Recognizing that their $1.2 trillion stimulus has failed and in a frantic, election-year push, Democrats in Congress are labeling every bill they bring up as a ‘jobs’ bill. Most are....
... just more government spending, leading to higher deficits and more debt—and very few jobs.

Republicans have a better plan. We believe the best course is to encourage job creation by private companies. And the way to do that is to limit intrusion by Washington and to keep taxes at a manageable level. The federal government has been growing at an astonishing rate. Just last year, the government borrowed $1.4 trillion! The American economy cannot grow and create good jobs if Washington spending takes more and more resources out of the private economy.

Second, we must not raise taxes. Under current law, unless Congress acts, taxes will rise dramatically on December 31st. Taxes will increase on families with children, on married couples, on income, on capital gains and dividends, and even after death.

It comes to a total of $2 trillion in new taxes over the next 10 years. And that doesn’t include the more than $500 billion in new taxes in the health spending law.

Since most small businesses pay taxes as individuals, the increase in marginal income tax rates will hit job creators hard. Businesses are reluctant to hire because they are unsure about their future tax costs.

Unfortunately, Democrats in Congress have yet to say whether they will prevent this massive tax hike. And, they’ve even proposed new taxes like the cap-and-trade bill.

Republicans believe we need to act now, in a bipartisan way, to head off these tax increases. That would show job creators and families that it’s safe to invest and save.

So, these are two Republican ideas: First, reining in Washington spending. Second, keeping taxes at a manageable level. If we do these two things, private businesses and American families will be able to save, invest, and plan for the future. Together, we can help put Americans back to work. ####

People often ask from where Charles' last name, Djou, comes. Charles' father was born in Shanghai, China, and raised in Hong Kong. His mother was raised in Bangkok, Thailand. Charles was raised here in Hawaii. Yet, he has this odd, French-sounding, last name.

It started in the 1920's. Charles' grandfather worked for a French engineering firm in Shanghai. His grandfather's French boss, who spoke only French and Chinese, gave him the French name "Dijou" which roughly sounds like Charles' family's Chinese name, "Zhou." In 1948, during the communist revolution in China, Charles' grandfather fled to Hong Kong, which was then a British colony. Upon his arrival, the British asked Charles' grandfather to fill out immigration papers. Rather than write down his Chinese character, Charles' grandfather wrote down "Djou" - not knowing that this was actually French or that it was misspelled. Charles' father took this name to the United States, Charles was born with it and voil�, you have a local Chinese guy with a French sounding last name.

Tom Wiens signs pledge to repeal any federal health care takeover and replace it with real reforms

Castle Rock- US Senate candidate Tom Wiens signed a pledge sponsored by The Club For Growth today which commits him to "sponsor and support legislation to repeal any federal health care takeover passed in 2010, and replace it with real reforms that lower costs without growing government."

For the federal government to intervene in that relationship under HR3590 is a broad overreach of the powers of the government. Not only is it a constitutional violation, it's an ethical violation. (ENGLEWOOD) – US Senate candidate Jane Norton this morning addressed the Home Builders Association of Metro Denver’s Builder Eye-Opener Breakfast. Her remarks focused on the current economic climate and her plan to jumpstart the recovery.

“Washington isn’t listening to people like you – the ones on the ground who know better than anyone what needs to be done to get our economy back on track,” said Norton to the group of approximately 100. “The race to recovery begins with restoring some certainty for Colorado businesses. We have to stabilize and lower interest rates, increase access to capital, ensure affordable energy, and foster a reasonable regulatory environment.

“But first and foremost, we need to cut spending. That’s why I support an immediate, 20-percent cut in discretionary spending followed by a three-year freeze. “Then we need to repeal and replace ObamaCare. The President’s healthcare plan needs to be scrapped and replaced with real reform that focuses on bringing down costs.

“And finally, we have to allow businesses to create jobs. That’s why I support a timeout from the payroll tax, eliminating the death tax and capital gains tax, and reducing the corporate tax. Our nation has to overhaul its regulatory system by weighing the costs of all this red tape with its limited benefits. We need to focus on efficiency standards, sound science, and maximizing labor.

I need not remind you that this is a time of great economic anxiety for almost everyone. Americans are rightfully asking ‘where are the jobs?’ ‘Why is Washington raising taxes in times of recession?’ ‘Doesn’t anyone care about us?’ ‘Is anyone actually listening?’ I know what you’re thinking. Enough is enough. Stop the spending. Stop the waste. Stop the broken promises. Republicans agree. Major employers are already being squeezed because of the tax increases and cost hikes thanks to the new health care law signed by President Obama.

The new law is just the latest in a series of anti-taxpayer policies coming out of Washington that is making it harder for Americans to save, invest, and hire, but it is by no means the last.

As a former small business owner – a deli here in Bakersfield – I know that there is risk involved in turning a new idea into a successful business. There is no reward without some risk. My small business – like many small businesses – was started on credit. At this time of high unemployment, when we need to focus on jobs, we should not be expanding government spending, government commitments, and government promises that crowd out the small businessman and businesswoman. That’s not good for jobs. That’s not good for anyone.

From TARP and permanent bailouts, to the cap-and-trade national energy tax, the government takeover of healthcare, and huge increases in the national debt – and now still more demands for more spending to change the financial regulations, we have run out of money. And yet this Administration and Congressional Democrats want to spend even more.

So on behalf of the hardworking taxpayers of my district, I have one question for Washington: who is going to pay for all your new spending?

Last fall, when the controversial TARP program was on track to expire, Republicans voted to terminate the program and ensure that any unused funds were used to pay down our crushing national debt. Democrats instead forced through an extension so that they could use it as a ‘slush fund’ for more wasteful Washington spending.

Now, President Obama wants Congress to pass job-killing legislation that would guarantee permanent bailouts for Wall Street. Under his plan, unelected Washington bureaucrats would be granted virtually unlimited power to pick winners and losers – and hardworking American taxpayers would pick up the tab for the reckless decisions made by irresponsible bankers.

What’s worse, this legislation fails to address the root causes of the economic crisis and housing meltdown – the lack of accountability in Washington and on Wall Street.

Republicans have proposed a plan to protect taxpayers, end the permanent bailout and get rid of TARP. Our plan would address the causes of the financial crisis and institute accountability while adopting a new approach to the markets that will no longer include using the taxpayer as Wall Street’s financial lifeline.

Because more Washington bureaucrats, more federal agencies and more blue-ribbon commissions are not the answer. And putting taxpayers on the hook for more bailouts will not revive our struggling economy – it will only compound the pain for struggling small businesses and for families who played by the rules, lived within their means and acted responsibly.

Earlier I asked whether anyone was listening. I’m Kevin McCarthy, a member of the House Republican Conference, and we’re listening. And if you want to put an end to these big government bailouts, the reckless wasteful spending and the mountain of debt, we hope you’re listening, too. ####

Chris Dudley Says Oregon’s Economic Future Depends On Education System That Is Effective And Successful VIDEO

Chinese Cyber Attack on Vietnamese Computer Users

In January, we discussed a set of highly sophisticated cyber attacks that originated in China and targeted many corporations around the world. We believe that malware is a general threat to the Internet, but it is especially harmful when it is used to suppress opinions of dissent. In that case, the attacks involved surveillance of email accounts belonging to Chinese human rights activists. Perhaps unsurprisingly, these are not the only examples of malicious software being used for political ends. We have gathered information about a separate cyber threat that was less sophisticated but that nonetheless was employed against another community.

This particular malware broadly targeted Vietnamese computer users around the world. The malware infected the computers of potentially tens of thousands of users who downloaded Vietnamese keyboard language software and possibly other legitimate software that was altered to infect users. While the malware itself was not especially sophisticated, it has nonetheless been used for damaging purposes. These infected machines have been used both to spy on their owners as well as participate in distributed denial of service (DDoS) attacks against blogs containing messages of political dissent. Specifically, these attacks have tried to squelch opposition to bauxite mining efforts in Vietnam, an important and emotionally charged issue in the country.

Since some anti-virus vendors have already introduced signatures to help detect this specific malware, we recommend the following actions, particularly if you believe that you may have been exposed to the malware: run regular anti-virus as well as anti-spyware scans from trusted vendors, and be sure to install all web browser and operating system updates to ensure you’re using only the latest versions. New technology like our suspicious account activity alerts in Gmail should also help detect surveillance efforts. At a larger scale, we feel the international community needs to take cybersecurity seriously to help keep free opinion flowing.

(Washington, D.C., Monday, March 29, 2010) A new video released today by the Center for Freedom and Prosperity Foundation (CF&P) explains why a flat tax would be superior to the internal revenue code. "Hello. I’m Senate Republican Leader Mitch McConnell of Kentucky. Earlier this week, the President signed a massive health spending bill that’s been described as historic. Well, Democrats in Washington may measure history by how expensive and intrusive the bill is. But, most people outside Washington see things differently.

“In one of the most divisive legislative debates in modern history, Democrats decided to go the partisan route and blatantly ignore the will of the people. Americans opposed this legislation, and, now they’re clamoring to see it repealed and replaced.

“Democratic Leaders and White House officials may be celebrating their victory this week, but most of the rest of the country is not.

“Most people aren’t interested in celebrating a bill that makes their lives more complicated, takes more out of their paychecks and puts decisions they’re used to making themselves into the hands of federal bureaucrats.

“Most people aren’t celebrating the fact that their insurance premiums will go up. Seniors aren’t popping champagne corks at more than a half a trillion dollars in Medicare cuts. And, job creators, already struggling in a down economy, aren’t doing any cartwheels over all the mandates and new taxes they’ll have to shoulder as a result of this bill.

“We’re already seeing the economic fallout.

“Just two days after this bill became law, the John Deere Company said it will spend an extra $150 million this year alone just to comply with the new law. Illinois-based Caterpillar Corporation said it expects to take a $100 million hit.

“This is bad news for workers, and its terrible news for the broader economy. As the President himself put it during a visit to Caterpillar last year: ‘you can measure America’s bottom line by looking at Caterpillar’s bottom line.’ That was the President a year ago.

“The timing couldn’t be worse. At a moment when millions of Americans are looking for work, Democrats in Washington just voted to spend $2.6 trillion on a health care bill that will make it even harder to create private-sector jobs. The IRS sure gets a boost, though. An estimated 16,500 new workers will be needed there to enforce a brand new insurance mandate that the bill imposes on employers.

“And then there are all the unintended consequences that will inevitably result from a 2,800-page bill that sets up dozens of federal boards and a thicket of new rules and regulations — regulations that we know won’t withstand their first contact with reality.

“In fact, we’re already seeing it. Just one day after the President signed this bill into law, we got word that one of its celebrated early features — a ban on discriminating against children with pre-existing conditions — won’t immediately protect children after all.

“Another promise, requiring insurance companies to let young adults stay on their parents’ plans up to age 26, turned out to be similarly ineffective. In other words, Democrats in Congress just voted to take over one-sixth of our economy, and two of the biggest selling points they used to push it over the finish line already need fixing. Here’s a question: if they can’t get these two things right, how can we expect them to properly manage the rest of it?

“When the White House was questioned about the glitches in the bill, they said the Secretary of Human Services was on the case. They said she’d issue a new regulation to correct the problem. But this is precisely what Americans are afraid of.

“This bill hadn’t even been law for 24 hours, and already they’re proposing regulations to cover over mistakes and errors. And we haven’t even seen the last of it.

“I’m sure that soon enough, every American will be reminded of the wisdom of that old observation that ‘government is best which governs least.’

“Look, nobody is satisfied with the health care system as it is. We’ve got serious problems that need to be addressed. Costs are out of control. Too many people are being squeezed out of the market. But, the fact of the matter is, this health care bill doesn’t solve any of those problems. It uses them as an excuse to undermine the things we do best — the wide array of choices, the constant innovations in technology and treatments, and the high quality of care that people all around the world admire about the American health care system.

“Sadly, all of those things will suffer as a result of the bill the President signed this week.

“We can do better. We can expand access to people with preexisting conditions. We can keep people from being kicked off their plans. We can lower costs and premiums. We can do all of these things without undermining the things we do best and without raising taxes that kill jobs in a bad economy.

“The American people know that. That’s why they’ve been clamoring for a different approach, and that’s why Republicans are committed to repealing this bill and replacing it with common sense solutions that achieve the good things that folks on both sides want to achieve without all the nasty consequences we’re already beginning to see.

Dennis Lennox is an active member of the Berean Bible Church, a non-denominational community church in Topinabee that his family helped found some 28 years ago. Besides being involved with numerous pro-life, pro-family civic organizations, he is a member of the National Rifle Association and Ducks Unlimited.

Lennox learned the importance of faith, family, and country from his late grandparents, who instilled in him the values he holds to this day. As members of the Greatest Generation, who lived through an economic depression unimaginable in contemporary times, they taught him the importance of fiscal prudence and standing up for what you believe.

While working as a professional hockey official in leagues across Canada and the United States, Lennox also worked for President George W. Bush. After President Bush and Vice President Dick Cheney were re-elected in 2004, he went on to take positions with Congressman David Camp and Senate Republicans in Lansing.

After gaining first-hand experience in the Legislature, Lennox returned home to serve as chairman of Citizens Against New Taxes, a grassroots coalition that advocates taxpayer rights and fights unnecessary tax increases on working families and small businesses.

He went on to work in the presidential campaign of former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney, helping the Michigan native win the state's 2008 presidential primary.

A leader in Republican politics, Lennox was elected by his peers across Northern and Upper Michigan to represent the 31-county 1st Congressional District at the 2008 Republican National Convention, which formally nominated U.S. Senator John McCain and Governor Sarah Palin as the GOP presidential and vice presidential nominees and approved the Republican Party Platform.

Lennox's record includes a series of bipartisan amendments to the Michigan Constitution. His proposals, introduced by Senator Michelle McManus as Senate Joint Resolution I in 2007, modernized government by removing obsolete and archaic provisions of the Constitution. Lennox's amendments overwhelmingly passed the Senate, achieving a final vote of 27-3.

In 2008, running on a platform of reforming local government, Lennox defeated a two-term Democratic incumbent to become Cheboygan County's Drain Commissioner. He was only one of two Republican challengers in all of Michigan to defeat an incumbent Democrat at the county-wide or higher levels.

After taking office, Lennox fulfilled his campaign promise to abolish the office of county drain commissioner by working with county commissioners and legislators in Lansing to develop a bipartisan proposal to allow Cheboygan County to do-away with the office. His proposal was introduced as House Bill 5216 and Senate Bill 758.

As drain commissioner, he reformed a little-known office that had historically operated with little scrutiny from taxpayers.

Lennox moved his office’s operations back to the county courthouse in the City of Cheboygan to ensure greater access to constituents, who were used to interacting with their elected officials in a central location.

Whether it was preserving water resources in the Great Lakes, working with landowners to write an ordinance to ban phosphorus in lawn fertilizers, helping improve local road infrastructure or stopping Lansing from banning recreational walleye fishing in the state’s third-largest lake, Lennox has consistently stood up, and been a voice, for his constituents.

Don Hooper To the Citizens of the 1st District of Michigan

I cannot sit quietly and watch our country being betrayed by those currently in office. I will never stop trying to defend our country from enemies both outside and within. Therefore, I declare that I will again, run for the office of the 1st District of Michigan in the Federal House of Representatives.

If you are an American conservative, I know what you want, I know exactly what you want because I want the very same things you do.

We dream of living in a free country as secure Americans, a peaceful place where we can enjoy life and prosperity without the uncertainties of incompetent government and it’s agencies, and unelected people, who insist on controlling every aspect of our lives.

Spiritually, we want to be governed exclusively by the rules set for us by God through the scriptures, and culturally, by our American Constitution and The Bill of Rights. These two directives contain the very basic fundamentals of our cultural existence, and are the total requirements necessary for human happiness in this nation as long as we choose to embrace their wisdom without restraint.

The anger of watching our freedom and liberty being destroyed by our own government beckoned me to re-dedicate myself to doing whatever I can to stop this carnage. I know I have to combat this madness in the very place where it was being formulated; the United States Congress.

Most of you know, I ran for the U.S. House of Representatives three times. It was a formidable task running against a wealthy incumbent. For me, funding was minimal and support from the party ticket was 100% non existent. Nonetheless, I have decided I will run for the U.S. House of Representatives once again, on the Republican ticket. Until a third party is assembled there is no hope that anyone can beat Congressman Stupak without running as a major party candidate.

I have much to offer the people of the 1st District; things like integrity, honesty and steadfastness. I need the support and help of the true branch of conservatives in the party. I also need the help of all the Independents from Tea Party action, and all other conservative groups. I believe this includes most of the district’s voting block because they are realize that we are in a precarious position of losing our country to an insane bunch of radical communists, led by the biggest anti-American of all, Barrack Hussein Obama. They must be defeated at all costs.

The following is a brief outline of where I stand on principles:

* Not a Politician
* A full history of personal business experience ( I too drive a truck :-)
* I am well educated on the topics
* I know correct history well
* I am experienced
* I understand how corrupt politics work and want to destroy it
* I am totally for America
* I am fully Pro-Life both from conception to Natural death
* I am not for big government - I want it downsized to minimal governance
* I want us out of the United Nations
* I am not afraid to stand up to those who want to make America into something else
* I am a true patriot and conservative - not a declared moderate or liberal non progressive
* I believe there is not place for liberals or social progressives, Marxist or Communists in American government
* I can address issues at three levels of national and international politics - voter level - congressional strata and the subterranean efforts of Anti-American communism and Islamic philosophies
* I understand the national and international monetary systems an their effects on America and the world
* I will vote no on Earmarks. I believe they are congressional blackmail and totally illegal and unconstitutional. They need to be stopped immediately.
* I believe strongly in the second amendment on gun rights
* I support producing our own fossil energy, (oil, coal, etc.)
* I believe the National Education Department needs to be abolished and our public schools under local control where it belongs.
* I believe any takeover of our health care system is unconstitutional and destructive. There are sensible solutions available from sensible people.
* I believe in a force a balanced budget that does not balance itself by increasing taxation. I believe the people should have full representation in taxation.
* I believe serving America is a privilege and as such, I would not accept any retirement payments after leaving the congress.

It goes without saying, I cannot win the office without your support. That support begins with becoming elligible to be on the November 2010 ballot. Please do not leave me alone for gathering the minimal 1300 signatures necessary for candidacy.

You now have an opportunity to sent a representative that does not vote on the so called moderate liberal side. You have an opportunity to a true conservative to represent you.

I will send petitions to anyone who will take time to gather fifteen signatures. If you truly want a solid candidate to represent you with unshakeable conservative values, I welcome you to the team. Together we can stop a take over of our country by those that do not represent our values and beliefs.

Bart Stupak's Opponent, Linda Goldthorpe, Interviewed on WTCM Radio VIDEO

Linda says she quit practicing law for money because she couldn’t offer people any assurance that they’d obtain justice. Watching Congress brought her to the same conclusion. She’d like to see the federal government keep it’s hands off state affairs, eliminate international entanglements, restrain itself to Constitutionally mandated issues, and cease taking personal property through taxation and excessive regulation.

I did not see myself running for Congress until I realized how urgently we need new leadership, leadership that trusts the people and the state and local governments to govern themselves. It’s been a thrill to discover that this simple message of freedom resonates with so many people. I feel passionately about many specific issues, but it all boils down to one uncomplicated thing: we need less government, not more.

Dr. Dan Benishek For US Congress vs Bart Stupak in Michigan VIDEO

Dan Benishek was born in Iron River, Michigan in 1952. His mother, Helen Kovaleski, was also born in Iron River from parents that emigrated from Poland. His father, Joseph Benishek, was from the Antigo, Wisconsin area and moved to the Upper Peninsula to join the Civilian Conservation Corps and subsequently worked in the local iron mines. He was killed in those mines in 1957 when Dan was five years old. Dan was raised by his widowed mother and his extended family in Iron River working since he was a youngster in the family business, the Iron River Hotel, until he went on to college.

After Dan graduated from West Iron County High School in 1970 he went on to the University of Michigan where he received a bachelor’s degree in biology. He then went on to Wayne State University School of Medicine where he graduated in 1978. He did a rotating internship in Flint and then returned to Detroit to do his surgical residency finishing in 1983. Dr. Benishek has been serving the Upper Peninsula of Michigan in Iron Mountain working at Dickinson County Memorial Hospital as a general surgeon. Dan has also served the veterans at the Oscar G. Johnson VA Medical Center since 1990. More recently, Dan joined to staff at Northstar Health System in Iron River. Dan and his wife Judy live on Chicagoan Lake in rural Iron County and share five children and two grandchildren. Their family enjoys hunting, fishing, cooking and spending time with friends.

SEAN HANNITY, HOST: After a year of concerted effort the Democratic Party finally managed to ram its disastrous health care bill through Congress. The massive tax increases it entails should hit you shortly even though your medical care will not go downhill for a few years.

Now throughout this process we learned what bipartisanship really means to the Democratic Party. There was a lot of talk about getting Republicans on board but in the end the only bipartisanship was in the opposition.

Thirty-four Democrats joined all of the congressional Republicans to oppose this bill. And the road to passing this bill was a bumpy one for the Democrats who had to bribe and bully their own members to eke out 216 votes. And for that and much more they will certainly pay a price in November.

So was it worth it for the Democrats in the end?

Joining me now with reaction to everything that went down yesterday on Capitol Hill is former Alaska governor, Fox News contributor, Sarah Palin.

Governor, it must still be cold in Alaska because I see snow on your roof in the back there. What's the temperature outside?

SARAH PALIN, FOX NEWS CONTRIBUTOR: It is springtime, though. It's about 30 degrees so it's warm, it's fine for us.

HANNITY: All right. I prefer 60 or 70 in springtime. But that's warm, I guess, for Alaska.

All right, I think this is a sad day for this country. I think we saw a shredding of our Constitution. I think the rule of law was passed aside. Alcee Hastings said as much.

How severe is this from your perspective?

PALIN: It's severe but let's not be sad about it. Let's be fired up and energized and invigorated and decide no, we're going to do all that we can to take our country back.

Al Sharpton nailed it. He's the one who said today or yesterday he said, you know, this is social — this is part of the socializing of America that Obama had promised. He hit the nail on the head. And those who support such a thing — socialism — OK, be on that side and support things like Obamacare.

But those who love America and don't want to see that transformation of America into some kind of socialized country, let's get on our high horse and start doing all that we can to provide more education, more information to voters so that in these midterm elections they can elect people who will undo what happened to America last night.
