WASHINGTON, D.C.—The U.S. Chamber of Commerce today launched the television ad “Bad with Money” in Los Angeles to highlight Senator Barbara Boxer’s 28-year record of reckless spending and anti-business policies.
The ad reminds Californians that Boxer has helped bankrupt the American treasury and throw Californians out of work by raising taxes, adding trillions to the national debt, and voting to cut back water to California farms and communities.
“Barbara Boxer has been recklessly mortgaging America’s future by adding trillions to the deficit and our tax burden,” said Bill Miller, national political director for the Chamber. “After nearly three decades as a Washington politician, there appears to be no limit to Boxer's eagerness to tax and spend.”
The ad is part of a Chamber television blitz that also includes ads in Sacramento, Fresno, and Bakersfield highlighting Boxer’s lack of leadership on critical water issues facing California.
“As if her fiscal irresponsibility were not enough, Boxer also voted to cut back water to the Central Valley, shutting down farms and small businesses and helping to drive some Valley unemployment rates as high as 40 percent,” Miller said.
